Washing green christmas tree lights.

Am I the only person to wonder how long the lovely tree lights in the washing green in Strathaven will be left switched on for?? Christmas is long gone!

Who is responsible for the electricity bill for this? I'm sure they wont be happy when they find out that someone has not switched these lights off yet.

I have to admit though they are really nice!!!

Aren't these lights now a fixture as part of the lighting installed on Alison Green courtesy of 'Adam's Trust'? Correct me if I am wrong, but that is my understanding of the situation. What do others think about the view expressed concerning these lights. It would be interesting to know.

Ive just been informed that the lights are now a "Feature" in the town. They are very nice but I think they are a complete waste of money. The money could be put to a better use in the town.

Do we know how much money? I think they look great lit all year round, perhaps in the future a solar panel and battery array could be used to power them as a greener measure?
