Sunny skies see Strathaven Show come back in style
9 SeptemberAfter last year's event was cancelled due to torrential rain, Strathaven Agricultural Exposition came back in style with a great turnout at the Showfield at Over Lethame Farm.
There was a rise in entries in all the livestock classes, including a hugely successful poultry section which attracted nearly 200 entries!
Other sections were equally successful, with the industrial classes showing a lot of local talent, and a great turnout for both the dog show and the children's section.
Champion of Champions at the show was a Limosin Bull from Bogside Farm, Carluke, owned by Ian Nimmo.
The weather helped contribute to the best show for many years - and everyone will be hoping that the success can continue in 2011!
