Sun shines for Strathaven Striders' cross-country race

Members of Strathaven Striders enjoyed some good weather in the Avondale valley for their second cross country race of the season.
About 60 people joined in the pre-race warm-up, with the three-mile race attracting most entries, and seven runners tackling the six-mile course.
First across the line for the six miles was Graeme Dickson in 48.13. First senior male was David Meldrum in 52.11, with Lindsay Dick the first senior woman over the line in 53.57.
Matthew Osborne led the three-milers home in 28.25, with beginner Donnie Maclean clocking 29.37.
