The January walk took place on Sunday 17th, and was a local walk round Strathaven. We left the Station Road Car Park and headed out the A71 to Quarryhill Farm. Cutting off the main road here, we walked over to Hapton Crags via Nether Lethame Farm. Continuing up to Glasgow road, the walk was completed by walking down into the Common Green and back to the Car Park. Luckily the snow had melted on the Friday! (See pictures on the other page)
The walk was a straightforward 4 miles.
The next walk is on Sunday 21st February, and goes from Darvel to Galston via Lanfine Estate, then back via the Irvine Walkway. This is a testing 9 miles, but is along good paths and metalled roads.
