Strathaven primary pupils blooming great in bulb competition

  • Pupils from Sandford Primary receiving their 'Best School' prize
Strathaven primary pupils have been blooming great in the annual South Lanarkshire bulb growing competition, with daffodil and hyacinth blooms providing a colourful display at the presentation ceremony.

The best overall school prize went to Sandford Primary, while Rebecca Coffey from Wester OVerton, and Harvey Meikle from Chapelton won the top prizes for daffodils and hyacinths respectively.

In the art competition run alongside the flower event, Chloe Alexander of Wester Overton was awarded the top prize.
