A unique collection of personal artefacts from Strathaven's most famous son, Sir Harry Lauder, has raised more than £12,000 at an auction in Edinburgh.
Strathaven primary pupils have been blooming great in the annual South Lanarkshire bulb growing competition, with daffodil and hyacinth blooms providing a colourful display

27/1/2010Strathaven curler Aileen heads for Paralympic games

Strathaven's Aileen Neilson has her sights set on gold after she was selected to represent Great Britain in the wheelchair curling event at the Paralympic Winter Games.
Aileen (38) and her team will be looking to better their silver medal from the 2006 games in Turin when the competition gets under way in Vancouver on 13th March.
