Strathaven bowls four heading for Scottish Championships

  • Strathaven bowling club's four will travel to Northfield for the Scottish Championship

The fours team from Strathaven Bowling Club travel to Northfield in Ayr this week as they take on the best of Scotland in the national championship finals.

The Strathaven bowlers - Ian Patrick, Steven Peacock, Alan Sommerville and Alan Coyle - take on Orbiston Bowling Club in their first round match, which gets under way on Thursday 29th July at 3.30pm on rink five of green C at the Ayr venue.

UPDATE: Unfortunately the Strathaven team went out of the Championships in the first round, going down 18-9 to Orbiston on Thursday.
