Strathaven Balloon Festival ready for lift-off

  • Strathaven Balloon Festival 2010 will be from 27-29th August

It's just a few weeks now to the annual Strathaven Balloon Festival, this year being held in the John Hastie Park over the weekend of Friday 27th to Sunday 29th August.

The programme for the festival will be on sale soon - costing £1 each - look out for the programme - and the prize-winning festival stamp inside - around the town.

There will be the usual sight of dozens of hot air balloons taking to the skies over the town, with the evening and morning burns lighting up the sky.

But as well as the balloons, visitors can enjoy birds of prey displays, music from guests including Bellshill Concert Band, Bhangra Beats and the Mugen Taiko Brummers and also a parade of classic vehicles.
