A unique collection of personal artefacts from Strathaven's most famous son, Sir Harry Lauder, has raised more than £12,000 at an auction in Edinburgh.

Stolen recently from a garden in Strathaven was a set of ANTIQUE VEGETABLE SCALES. This item was treasured by the owners who would dearly love to have property returned. Any information relating to its current whereabouts would be welcomed. Reward offered.
