SLC PLAN PROPOSE LARGE DEVELOPMENT ON AGRICULTURAL SITES AROUND STRATHAVEN

by Mrs P W Gilmour

South Lanarkshire Council has published the first stage of their consultation on the new Local Plan.  Some of the documents are available for viewing in Strathaven Library and the rest are available on SLC.Planning & Building Standards web site under Local Development Plan.  Included in this plan is a further potential Masterplan Site called West Strathaven which extends from A71 to Colinhill Road along with a comprehensive list of other agricultural sites on the edge of Strathaven in all directions that are potential for development.  It is suggested that anyone concerned about how Strathaven might be changing should look at these documents and use the Representation Form to give their views to the Council before 29 June 2012

Bob Currie says

You  say those concerned about how Strathaven might be changing should complete the Representation 'Form. From bitter experience all I can say that it will do no good whatsoever. Pure window dressing on the part of SLC
