Police hunt man who disappeared after Hamilton Road crash
3 AugustPolice are attempting to find a man who disappeared after crashing his car in Hamilton Road, Strathaven, on Wednesday 28th July.
Officers were called to the crash scene near Nethershields Farm at 5.40am by a local resident.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the car was upside down but there was no sign of a driver, who they believe may have lost control of the car.
However, despite an extensive search of the surrounding area, including using police dogs, there was no sign of him.
A spokesman for Strathclyde Police said: "We need to contact the driver for our enquiries and also to ensure that he gets any medical help that he may require.
"It seems there were no other passengers or vehicles involved in the accident so we need to trace the driver and take his account of the incident."
