Police call for help in hunt for missing Strathaven pensioner
27 JulyUPDATE: Agnes Brotherstone, the Strathaven pensioner whose disappearance sparked a police alert has been found safe and well in the Baillieston area of Glasgow.
You can read more on this story here on the STV website.Police are trying to trace a missing Strathaven pensioner who has not been seen since getting into a car with an unknown man in Strathaven.
Agnes Brotherstone, 72, of Park View in the town, left her home and was seen getting into a blue coloured vehicle around 3pm on Monday.
However, she did not return home and her family are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety.
Mrs Brotherstone is 5ft 6ins, of slim build with black curly hair and when last seen she was wearing a cream coloured blouse, cream jacket, checked black and white trousers, cream sandals and carrying a blue/grey coloured shopping bag. She usually wears glasses.
A spokesman for Strathclyde Police said: "Police and family members are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety and urge anyone who knows of her present whereabouts or anyone who has seen her since 3pm on Monday 26 July to contact police at East Kilbride on 01355 564000."
