Musical treat for Strathaven Probus from young choirs

  • Young 'Quavers' choir at Strathaven Probus Club
  • Clarinet duet, "The Flower Duet", was performed by Amanda and Shona
  • Unison and Harmony choirs got together to perform

Members of Strathaven Probus and their guests enjoyed musical entertainment from the choirs of Jennifer Toms before dinner in the Strathaven Hotel at this week’s meeting.

The youngest choir, "Quavers”, sang their first piece in French and their second, in two-part harmony both being accompanied by 10-year-old Catherine. This was followed by a clarinet duet, "The Flower Duet", by Amanda and Shona.

The combined choirs Unison and Harmony  then performed three pieces culminating in "Hallelujah" featuring soloists Martha, Cathy, Amy and Jillian. The entire performance was greatly appreciated by the audience.

Grace, said by Marjorie McCrae was followed by a most enjoyable meal and the good conversation characteristic of Probus Club events.
