Members elected to serve Strathaven on South Lanarkshire Council

  • Voters in Strathaven went to the polls on Thursday 3rd May

Voters in Strathaven took the chance to have their say on local issues this week, to elect new local representatives to serve on South Lanarkshire Council as Scotland went to the polls in local elections.

After all the votes had been counted, the following candidates were elected to serve as councillors for the Avondale and Stonehouse ward for the next five years.

Graeme Campbell – Independent
Margaret Cooper – Labour
Isobel Dorman – SNP
William Holman - SNP

The full results for all wards are still being confirmed at the time of writing, but you can find vote totals, and the final make up of the council here on the South Lanarkshire Council website.
