Lease on Strathaven's popular Star Inn goes up for sale

  • The lease on the Star Inn on Waterside Street has gone on the market

The lease on the popular Star Inn on Waterside Street in Strathaven is up for sale, with pub owners Belhaven putting it on the market .

The lease on the Star is on offer for an initial cost of £11,300, and comes with two flats for lease or for live-in accommodation.

The Star Inn comprises a main bar, separate lounge and upstairs function room, as well as a smoking area to the rear.

According to Belhaven, ideal candidate will have a good local knowledge and be experienced in the pub trade preferably to managerial level. They're looking for "A community minded person with the ability to develop all local trading opportunities."

Be great to see the place go a little more up-market. So fingers crossed Belhaven spend some money on the place and tart it up a little.
