Great day for Avon anglers annual members competition

  • Eighteen anglers took part in the annual Avon competition

Eighteen anglers took part in the Upper Avon Angling Club's annual members competition held on Dungavel reservoir on Saturday 14th August.

There were a total of 35 fish weighed in with a total weight of 33lb.

The winner of the heaviest bag went to Graeme Hamilton with 4lb 7oz receiving the Top Trophy, Shield and Fly Tying Kit

The winner of the heaviest fish went to Gareth Longden of Tarmac with 1lb 3oz receiving the G&S Hamilton Trophy , Shield and an excellent Fly Tying vice.

The runner up for the heaviest fish was Roy Di Duca of Tarmac with 1lb 2oz receiving Runner up shield and Book on Fly tying

The club would like to thank Mr D Henderson for his donations for the competition winners, Tarmac for their generous sponsorship towards our competitions and to all who attended for their efforts in making it another successful day.
