Get in the groove with Strathaven's new jazz afternoon

Strathaven's Waterside Inn is playing host to the latest new music success to hit the town - Jazz in the Afternoon.

The first afternoon of jazz was held in the Waterside Street venue over the Easter weekend, and after the success of the first event, Jazz in the Afternoon is now to become a monthly fixture.

Jazz in the Afternoon is being held on the first Saturday of each month, from 2.30pm in the bar - with the next event on Saturday 5th May.

The musicians for the first afternoon of jazz were Eric Rice on keyboards, William Suchy on double bass, Gordon McAllan and Matt Dillerstone on drums, and Paulo Quadros on tenor sax.

Paulo said: "Matt came all the way from Johnstone for a jam with us, and it was a great afternoon - looking forward to doing it again next month!"
