  • Strathaven man Chris Moon has set off on an amazing 1000 mile charity challenge for Barnardo's

A Strathaven man has set off on a 1,000-mile challenge to help raise funds for Barnardos, on a journey that will take him across the UK and Northern Ireland to the finish in London on Thursday 30th September.

And for Chris Moon, who lost an arm and a leg while he was supervising mine clearance in Mozambique in 1995, this is his latest challenge in a line of amazing charity endurance efforts.

The route of the Post Office 1000 Challenge will take Chris from Scotland to Northern Ireland, through Manchester, Liverpool, Northampton and finishes in London. Chris has set himself the target of raising over £1 million - and you can help - make a donation here at www.postoffice.co.uk or a Post Office branch.
