Entries pouring in for for Strathaven's Classic Car Show
15 Mar 2010PR spokesman Graeme Campbell said this week, "Thanks to Stuart Smellie of LS Smellie & Sons and Ross Symes of Avondale Vets, we now have a venue for the first ever Strathaven Round Table Classic Show.
"The event will be held on Sunday 23rd May 2010 at the brand new Strathaven Rural Centre on Hamilton Road, next to the Strathaven Rugby Club, which will be the venue for a bar, BBQ and visitor parking for the show. This means that all the classic vehicles attending the event will have access to hard standing at the rural centre."
This has clearly turned into a event that will rival the Round Table's bonfire and fireworks display each November, where up to 5,000 visitors have been known to attend in past years.
New Round Table member Scott Mitchell said, "So far we've had 150+ classic cars registered via our brand new website (see below) so we're delighted with progress to bring a brand new event to Strathaven."
