Already this year's Gala is joining the memories that have been built up since the very first festival in 1974.

There must be thousands of photos of Galas gone by out there - so let's share them - you can see just a few of them in this folder here.

Whatever the photos, whatever the memories, share them here on s1strathaven - whether it's memories of taking part in or watching the parade, one of the events during gala week - or maybe you played your part in the Gala court itself.

2008 - Team 'Dads' Dirty Nappies' take a surprise win at the Gala Raft Race

2009 - Team 'Dads' Dirty Nappies' failed to retain the prestigious perpetual and elegant raft trophy, but redeemed themselves in the last race despite some bloody noses and blatant oar robbing.
